Itinerary

Day 1: Lima

Upon arrival at Lima international airport you will be met by our representative and transferred to your Hotel, located in Miraflores the safest and nicest area of Lima.
Overnight in Lima – Casa Andina Classic Miraflores Centro *** (Traditional Room)

Day 2: Bus journey Lima - Huaraz (8 hours)

After breakfast, you will be you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the bus station to board the tourist bus to Huaraz.
Upon arrival in Huaraz you will be transferred to your hotel.

Day 3: Huascaran National Park (Llanganuco Lake and Calllejon de Huaylas)

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel to start your full day tour of Callejon de Huaylas, during this tour you will enjoy the picturesque andean communities of Jangas, Paltay, Marcará, Carhuaz, Ranrahirca, Yungay, and the beautifull Llanganuco lake located at 12,630 ft above sea level, from where you will have great views of the impressive and mystical Huascarán Mountain, the highest Mountain in Peru Andes. We will have lunch in a local Restaurant in Caraz town. Late afternoon we return to Huaraz and stop by the artisan center of Taricá.

Day 4: Chavin de Huantar tour

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel to start your full day tour of Chavin de Huantar, located 110 kilometers from Huaraz. Chavin de Huantar has 2 sections the old temple and the new temple, built around 1500 and 400 B.C. during the Early Horizon period.
This temple complex contains many passageways and underground galleries decorated with sculptures and carvings, which were used for religious rites.
This ceremonial center was designated as a world Heritage site by UNESCO in 1985.
Definitely you will have a very rich experience visiting this incredible massive archaeological site!
Evening: Overnight bus journey Huaraz - Trujillo.

Day 5: Trujillo

Upon arrival at Trujillo bus station you will be transferred to your hotel.
Afternoon: Chan Chan Citadel tour:
After lunch, you will be picked up from your hotel and driven to Chan Chan, the biggest pre Columbian adobe city in America which was the capital of Chimu kingdom. This World heritage has its walls decorated with beautiful carved drawings of fishes, birds, foxes and others. You will explore its palaces, temples, squares, gardens and aqueducts.
Overnight in Trujillo – Los Conquistadores *** (Standard Room)

Day 6: Half day tour of Huaca del Sol y La Luna

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel driven to Huaca del Sol and Huaca de la Luna which functioned as political and ceremonial centers during the Mochica civilization. The sites are composed of houses, large avenues, alleys, corridors and squares.
Afternoon: Bus journey Trujillo - Chiclayo.
After lunch, you will be picked up from your Hotel and transferred to the bus station to board the bus to Chiclayo where you will learn more about Peruvian culture and the ancient kingdoms.
Upon arrival in Chiclayo, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel.

Day 7: Full day tour of The Royal tombs of Sipan Museum and Tucume Pyramids

After breakfast, you will be driven to Lambayeque town where you will visit The Royal Tombs of Sipan National Museum which exhibit the collection of archeological objects of gold, silver, and copper found in the tomb of the Lord of Sipan.
After lunch, we continue our way to Tucume known as The Valley of the Pyramids; this site encompasses twenty six pyramids, which the most impressive ones are the Huaca del Pueblo, La Raya, El Sol, and Las Estacas. Return to Hotel.

Day 8: Private Van journey Chiclayo – Chachapoyas (11 hours)

After an early breakfast, you will be picked up from your Hotel and driven by private van to Chachapoyas through fantastic scenery along the route. You will be transferred directly to your accommodation.

Day 9: Karajia

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel to visit the six sarcophagus of Karajia perched on a cliff overlooking the left bank of Utcubamba River.
The mummies placed inside sarcophagi are locally known as ‘purunmachus’ which represent men and women.

Day 10: Kuelap Fortress

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel to start your Kuelap adventure; this ancient massive stone-walled fortress which was built by the pre-Incan Chachapoyas culture is located on a ridge overlooking the Utcubamba Valley in the Peruvian cloud-forerst.
Kuelap fortress which has been compared only to Machu Picchu contains more than 400 circular buildings which walls are decorated with symbolic figures; it is believed that it took more than to 200 years to complete.
Althought there are many theories about the purpose of Kuelap, you can be sure that you will have a great experience surrounded by amazing scenery including the Orchids and bromeliads covering the walls of the fortress!

Day 11: Leymebamba

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel to visit the colorful funeral tombs of Revash perched on a ledge up high on a yellow-faced cliff! The cliff walls are decorated with geometric designs representing animal figures. We will have a two hour soft hike to the mausoleum.
After having our box-lunch we continue our way to Leimebamba to visit the Mallqui Institution Mummy Museum where we will appreciate an extraordinary collection of more than 200 Chachapoyan mummies found near the Lake of the Condors.

Day 12: Private Van journey Leimebamba - Cajamarca (9 hours)

After an early breakfast, you will be picked up from your Hotel and driven by private van to Cajamarca through fantastic scenery again! You will be transferred directly to your hotel.

Day 13: Flight Cajamarca – Lima

Free morning to rest and relax.
In the afternoon, you will be transferred to the airport to board your flight to Lima.

Day 14: Flight Lima - Cusco (11,150 ft)

After breakfast, you will be will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the airport to board your early morning flight to Cusco.
Upon arrival at Cusco airport you will be transferred to your hotel located in the center of Cusco.  Afternoon: Guided tour of Cusco and nearby Inca Ruins
14:00: this afternoon your guide will pick you up from your hotel and show you the highlights of Cusco, the colonial cathedral, the great temple of Korikancha and the 4 impressive Inca ruins around Cusco: Sacsayhuaman, with its massive walls, Qenko, site of carved living rock, Puca Pucara, an Inca lodging Site and Tambo Machay, known as the Baths of the Inca. You will learn more about the Incas’ secrets!

Day 15: Machu Picchu by train

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the train station to board the Vista dome train to Aguas Calientes (the base town of Machu Picchu).
Guided tour of Machu Picchu (8,000 ft)
Upon arrival at Aguas Calientes train station you will be met by your guide and take a 25 minute bus journey to Machu Picchu where you will have a guided tour and learn about the history of this site. You will have some insight into the various features of this sacred city and have free time to really enjoy yourself!
After visiting Machu Picchu, you will board the bus to Aguas Calientes, where you will have lunch before boarding the train to Cusco.
Afternoon: Train journey to Cusco
Upon arrival at the train station, you will be transferred to your Hotel.

Day 16: Flight Cusco – Lima

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the airport to board your morning flight to Lima.
Upon arrival at Lima airport, you will be transferred to your hotel located in Miraflores.
Afternoon: Lima Tour
After lunch, you will be driven to the city of the Kings where you will see beautiful monuments Colonial Palaces, Colonial houses adorned with Moorish-style balconies, Plaza San Martin, Plaza de Armas, the baroque cathedral, Palacio de Gobierno (Governors Palace), the Archbishop's Palace with its big carved wooden balconies, and the convent of San Francisco which houses the largest collection of religious art in the Americas. Underneath the convent lie extensive catacombs that served as the cemetery during the colonial period!

Day 17: Tourist bus journey Lima - Ica (4 ½ hours)

6:20: you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the bus station to board the tourist bus to Ica.
12:00: upon arrival in Ica you will be met by our representative and transferred to your Hotel.
Free afternoon to enjoy the sun, you can have a walk around Huacachina Oasis or try the sand boarding and the sand dune buggy ride!

Day 18: Flight over Nasca Lines from Ica airport

Morning: you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to Ica airport to board the flight over the enigmatic Nasca Lines for panoramic views of a monkey, a fish, a spider, a hummingbird and many drawings and geometric figures on the desert visible only from the air. The mystery of these huge figures in the desert continues even today.
Afternoon bus journey Ica – Lima/International Flight.
You will be picked from your hotel and transferred to the bus station to board the tourist bus to Lima.
Upon arrival at Lima bus station you will be met by our representative and transferred to the airport to board your flight back home.
