Day 1: Lima

Upon arrival at Lima international airport you will be met by our representative and transferred to your Hotel located in Miraflores, the safest and nicest area of Lima.

Day 2: Flight Lima - Cusco (11,150 ft)/Sacred Valley (9,100 ft)

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport to board your early morning flight to Cusco.
Upon arrival at Cusco airport, you will be met by our representative and driven down to the Sacred Valley, the most comfortable area to adjust to the altitude.  You will have time to rest and relax.
Optional Activities: Andean Energy Massage or Horseback riding to Ollantaytambo.

Day 3: Private guided tour of the Incas’ sacred valley

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel to start your adventure in the Incas’ sacred valley; today you will visit the famous Indian Market of Pisac where the local families sell their products and handicraft. The trip includes visits to Quechua colorful villages like Calca, Yanahuara, Urubamba, Yucay and others where you will be able to interact with the locals and learn about their ancient customs and traditions. After lunch, your guide will show you Ollantaytambo, this incredible Royal Inca site where the Incas made one of their last stands against the Spanish, a truly amazing Incas’ highlight.

Day 4: Private Inca trail hike to Machu Picchu.

Am. After breakfast, you will be transferred to the train station to board the tourist train to Km 104, the start point of our short trek to Machu Picchu. After passing the check point, we will have a four-hour hike to Wiñaywayna Ruins (Which means Forever Young in Quechua Language), the largest and most amazing Inca site of the Inca Trail, here you will have enough time to explore and enjoy the magic scenery.  After lunch, we continue our hike through the last part of the Inca trail crossing the stone threshold of Intipunku (Sun Gate at 8,957 ft/2,730 m) and have the most beautiful picture of Machu Picchu; we arrive in the Lost City late in the afternoon, but our private tour will be the next morning so we have the bus journey down to Aguas Calientes.

Day 5: Guided tour of Machu Picchu.

Early morning, we will have a short bus journey to Machu Picchu. You will have a guided tour of the most amazing and mysterious of all Inca Sites, you will learn about the history of this site, who lived there, how it was discovered in modern times and why the Spaniards never found it.   You will have some insight into the various features of the city and after that, you will have some free time to really enjoy yourself alone in this spectacularly located site, a lifetime experience that will stay with you forever! After enjoying Machu Picchu, you will board the bus to Aguas Calientes, where you will have lunch before the train journey to Cusco.
Afternoon: Train journey back to Cusco.
Upon arrival in Cusco, you will be transferred to your Hotel.

Day 6: Cusco

Free morning to explore Cusco

Afternoon: Guided tour of Cusco and nearby Inca Ruins.
14:00: this afternoon your guide will pick you up from your hotel and show you the highlights of Cusco, the colonial cathedral, the great temple of Korikancha and the 4 impressive Inca ruins around Cusco: Sacsayhuaman, with its massive walls, Qenko, site of carved living rock, Puca Pucara, an Inca lodging Site and Tambo Machay, known as the Baths of the Inca. You will learn more about the Incas’ secrets!

Day 7: Flight Cusco – Lima

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the airport to board your morning flight to Lima.
Upon arrival at Lima airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to Miraflores, the bustling, cosmopolitan area of the city from where you will start your afternoon Lima tour.

Lima Tour
After lunch, you will be driven downtown into the city of the Kings; your English-speaking guide will show you the colonial houses adorned with Moorish-style balconies, Plaza San Martin, Plaza de Armas, the baroque cathedral, Palacio de Gobierno (Governors Palace), the Archbishop's Palace with its big carved wooden balconies, and the convent of San Francisco. Underneath the convent lie extensive catacombs that served as the cemetery for the whole of Lima during the colonial period!

Evening flight back home
You will be picked up from Miraflores center and transferred to the airport to board your flight back home.

*Inca Trail Rules information: please keep in mind that the access to the Inca trail is controlled by SERNANP (Machu Picchu Authority) which has stablished a maximum number of people allowed on the trail per day. Inca trail permits are granted on a first come first served basis so your Inca trail permit will be confirmed only after your passport information and deposit are provided. The Inca trail permits are limited to 500 per day (trek permits are also required for the porters and cooks) so it is very important that we receive your Inca Trail reservations as far ahead as possible.
